As part of the Indianapolis community’s celebration of National Arts in Education Week (September 11 – 17), the Arts Council of Indianapolis and its Any Given Child Indy initiative, a partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools and the Mayor’s Office, will officially kick off the week at the Indianapolis Artsgarden on September 12.

This event will give members of the public an opportunity to celebrate Mayor Joe Hogsett’s proclamation of September 11 – 17 as “Indianapolis Arts in Education Week” with performances by students from Young Actors Theatre and Asante Children’s Theatre. During this event, attendees will learn about the Week of Giving and how they can support the efforts of 26 local arts organizations that are working within Indianapolis Public Schools. The Arts Council will also unveil the Any Given Child Indy 2016 – 2017 Action Plan, which includes goals and strategies that will increase access to arts education for IPS Students.
