Required: prior metal fabrication experience

Their ideal candidate will also be:

• Experienced in fabricating large scale sculptural elements and other creative projects.
• An all around team player, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
• A Jack/Jill-of-all-trades that’s excited about working with a variety of materials and techniques.

Additional Requirements:

• Metal fabrication experience – welding, shearing, braking, forming, torch cutting
• Experience using standard shop tools – industrial presses, drill press, mill, bandsaws, woodworking tools, routers
• Familiarity with standard shop and tool safety protocols
• Highly effective communication skills
• Able to work independently as well as with a team

Preferred:

• Experience working in a creative fabrication environment
• Background in art, architecture, or design
• Ability to work from 3D models

This position is full-time hourly, and in-person in the Ignition Arts studio in Indianapolis. Standard work hours are 8am to 5pm M-F, with overtime, weekend & evening hours, and occasional travel expected as projects/deadlines necessitate.
