StitchWorks is a sewing facility operated by PATTERN, a 501c3 nonprofit, that provides production services to apparel designers and education to those wishing to learn the skill of industrial sewing.

Schedule: There will be 3, eight week classes, one in April, another in June and one more in September. 4 days a week, 6 hours a day. Specific dates TBA. Must be available to be trained in the curriculum in late March, approx. 30 hours of instructions over one week.

What does an Instructor do?

Teach provided curriculum
Manage and communicate effectively with students and StitchWorks leadership
Clean and organize the classroom
Keep track of all supplies and materials
Be available for the entirety of the class

What Skills & Experience are needed?

Familiarity with Google products (Gmail, Google docs)
Basic math skills and ability to read/write/speak English
Experience sewing in an industrial environment is a plus, but not necessary; Training will be provided.
Reliable and willing to learn new skills
Strong attention to detail and desire to execute at a high level
Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to lift/carry objects up to 30lbs

Compensation:
$14.70 p/h
