The Setups and Scheduling Manager oversees logistics and arrangements for all Arts and Humanities programs of the Indiana University-Bloomington Arts and Humanities Council (AHC) at the Cook Center for Public Arts and Humanities at Maxwell Hall. Participates in executive planning meetings and helps determine and formalize goals, plans, and schedules for building maintenance/operation and all center events. Maintains building schedule and serves as building liaison for occupants; implements and monitors meeting and event timelines, procedures, and policies for all occupants and spaces. Sets up/tears down spaces and equipment for events (talks, exhibits, conferences, receptions, etc.) and oversees staff support for events. Coordinates work with event teams and ensures effective communication between all hosts, honorees, staff, and guests/audiences. Serves as the primary on-site support and staff manager for events. Constructs display equipment, manages lighting and computer technology, and orders and maintains all event equipment. Serves as building manager and works with IU support units to monitor and maintain building cleanliness, upkeep supplies and equipment, and oversee repairs and work orders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field and two years of experience in events, hospitality, or a related field.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Strong analytical and planning skills with the ability to independently manage multiple projects with competing demands in order to determine priorities. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with multiple audiences, including faculty, students, and the general public. Sound judgment and strong decision-making skills with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of individuals

Preferred Qualifications
Additional experience in project management and/or administration as well as experience in program development, public relations, and outreach.
Working Conditions / Demands
Work requires flexible hours and availability to manage events that occur in the evenings and on weekends.

Requires moving furnishings and equipment, experience with basic hand tools (saws, drills, etc.), and ability to ascend/descend ladders.
