For the home-comer, intern and soon-to-be college graduate, IndyHub creates opportunities to explore neighborhoods, the city’s sports scene and other amenities, showcasing how vibrant a place Indy has become. And for the emerging leader looking to make a difference, we provide educational opportunities, leadership development and resources to help them carve out their impact and secure a seat at the table.

The ideal candidate for this role is grounded in community, enjoys creating experiences for others and shares in our core value that Indianapolis should be the most welcoming and empowering city in the country for young leaders. Experience in event planning and communications, curiosity and positive attitude are a must, as is the ability to multitask and be a self-starter. This individual is highly organized, communicates effectively, and can successfully manage multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate is resourceful and will play a key role on our small team. This position will report to the Director of Engagement.

EVENT OPERATIONS
● Coordinate and prepare event logistics for IndyHub programs (both virtual and in-person) – including IndyHub’s largest annual event, IndyVolved – along with other programs including but not limited to: Shape Our City Summit, IndyFluence, Camp IndyHub, Raise Your IQ, Five to Seven, The Lab, Corporate Collective and 1828 Leadership Project
● Act as a liaison to vendors such as venue, security, transportation, food, beverage and other partners
● Work with Director of Engagement to meet project budgets, negotiate vendor contracts and fees, and fulfill invoices
● Work with IndyHub leadership to deliver flawless execution of hosted experiences with key partners and stakeholders, including detailed communication, direction and planning
● Collaborate and innovate as we work to make each event and experience a success
● Deliver an exceptional experience to every person met through first impressions, building trust with colleagues, partners, Board leaders and the IndyHub network
● Some travel required as we host events throughout Marion County

MARKETING OPERATIONS
● Support IndyHub’s digital event marketing, including event registration, follow-up assessments and partner toolkits
● Manage the IndyHub community calendar and volunteer opportunities page(s) on IndyHub website, including adding and approving submitted events and projects.
● Work with Director of Engagement to support logistics and curation of the monthly IndyHub e-newsletter to 12,000+ subscribers
● Work with Director of Engagement to support the communications dashboard with a focus on annual metrics and tracking
● Seek opportunities to develop relationships and build story ideas to grow IndyHub as a thought leader
● Participate in committees, events, and other duties as assigned as an official IndyHub representative

ORGANIZATION OPERATIONS SUPPORT
● Provide assistance in meeting and presentation readiness including scheduling, arrangements, presentations and overall preparedness, including meetings with the Board of Directors, sponsors and committees
● Work with President on ongoing management of sponsorship tracking, invoicing, communication; oversee donation receipts and gift acknowledgement
● Work with President to assist and oversee time tracking management
● Occasionally meet with emerging leaders and new residents through IndyHub’s Meet Indy program
● Direct or administer volunteer opportunities as necessary
● Support the IndyHub team and Board of Directors on ancillary tasks and projects

SCOPE OF ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

● Bachelor’s degree
● Entry level to (2) years experience, which may include internships
● Background that includes a demonstrated proficiency in communications and commitment to community engagement
● Experience in event management, execution, and some knowledge of social media
● Demonstrated organizational skills; proven ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
● Strong computer skills and familiarity with a variety of technology platforms, including but not limited to: Canva, Google Drive,
Mailchimp, Microsoft Office, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and WordPress
● Exceptional written and spoken communication skills
● Ability to thrive working both independently and within a team setting, and a willingness to work with enthusiasm among
evolving priorities
● Business day availability, with some evenings and occasional weekend commitments
● High professional standards with the ability to see the big picture and manage practical details
