Full Job Description
We are looking for a Barback, a perfect entry-level position for someone who wants to gain experience in the bar industry with potential to become a barista, bartender or bar manager. Barbacks at The Park at the Phoenix serve an important role as they interact with customers on a regular basis while providing valuable support to the staff on duty.

Barbacks support bartenders and waiters during their shift while keeping customer tables and areas clean and clear. Ultimately, barbacks help ensure that guests receive excellent customer service and enjoy their time at The Park at the Phoenix.

Responsibilities include:

Arrive early to help set up all aspects of the bar and customer area
Maintain cleanliness of all tables, counters and other bar areas at all times
Set up and take down chairs and tables as required
Collect empty glasses, cans and bottles and dispose of properly
Restock the bar with straws, coasters and napkins
Prepare mixers, juices and cocktail garnishes
Replenish snacks and fruits
Change out beer kegs and replace liquor bottles
Remove trash and wipe down drink spills
Refill ice bins
Clean rags throughout the shift
Assist the Bartenders during rush hours upon request
Stay after closing to clean and restock as needed

Director of Marketing and Sales
Requirements:

Must hold a Liquor/Bartender license from the Indiana Alcohol Tobacco Commission
Must have a valid IN driver’s license
Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skill
Must have an interest in the hospitality industry; previous entry-level experience in a bar or restaurant is not mandatory, but will be considered a plus
Must have basic knowledge of bar menu items and recipes (different types of beers and mixed drinks)
Must be physical able to lift beer kegs, hold trays of bottles and glassware, and stand during the shift
Preferably with a minimum of one year experience working as a Bartender
Able to exhibit team spirit
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time and is physically mobile
Able to be always punctual, stays on schedule, and maintains regular attendance
Should be flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays if required
Should pass the background check
Should be 21 years of age or older
