Urban Artisans –  Summer Jobs in the Arts

ArtMix’s Urban Artisans program supports young adults, ages 16-22 in the transition from school to the workplace. Students with and without disabilities learn transferable, pre-vocational skills through making, marketing, and selling artwork in a professional art studio.

Artwork is created to fulfill commissions and to sell in galleries and retail shops. Urban Artisans was a 2015 winner of the prestigious National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award.

The 8 week summer session starts June 1 and ends July 22, 2021
Available work hours are Monday-Thursday from 9 am-12 pm.
Interns are paid an hourly wage of $7.25/hour and can work up to 6 hours per week.
Studios are located in the Harrison Center for the Arts at 1505 N. Delaware Street, Indianapolis 46202
