Job brief

Arts for Lawrence is looking for a Facilities Associate to join our team.  This position supports Arts for Lawrence by ensuring patron safety and health at shows and events. Responsibilities include maintaining clean facility before and between shows, setting up for events and shows, inventory and management of equipment and supplies, and general facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety protocols for staff, volunteers, performers, artists and patrons
• Maintain backstage and theater house
• Monitor security cameras
• Sanitize all frequently touched areas, and theater seating before shows.
• Maintain general upkeep of Theater, Visual Arts Center, and Musical Swings
• Maintain inventory of theater equipment
• Maintain inventory of facility supplies

Requirements

• Well-organized with a community-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to climb theater steps while wearing fogger backpack (30lbs)
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up and down stairs
• Most work hours are scheduled on evenings and weekends
