The Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, is looking for an artist to do a week-long (all day, 5 days in a single week) residency in their school, culminating in the creation of a mural (indoor) with student input as to the design. If the artist is not within commuting distance of Lawrenceburg, the school will find a host family or will increase compensation to cover mileage, hotel, and living expenses during the residency. Work would be done at some point during the first academic semester, depending on the artist’s schedule.

The anticipated fee for the residency is $2,000 including materials. This would cover an approximately 5′ x 10′ mural area. They are currently looking for increased funding to make the mural larger and cover more of the artist’s expenses.
