Teen & Young Adult Mural Camp with Koda Witsken

Public art is more important than ever to beautify spaces, to facilitate community conversations, and to encourage people to pay attention and perceive more deeply the environments they occupy. This is a unique opportunity for teen artists (aged 13 to 19) to learn about outdoor murals and the history of public art from professional muralist and Indy native, Koda Witsken! Each student will create an outdoor mural on the concrete Art Wall at Brooks School Park (40′ long x 5′ tall) over the course of a week – while also completing art history modules created specifically for this camp by museum professionals – AND while also meeting local professional artists throughout camp. All skill levels welcome.
