Auditions for Storefront’s January production of Post-Democracy by Hannah Moscovitch, directed by Storefront Artistic Director Ronan Marra will be on Saturday, October 8th from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 9th from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Script and sides will be provided, no monologues are necessary. Appointment required. Auditions will be at Storefront (2416 E. 55th Pl). Script and role descriptions are below.

When a CEO and his highest executives are on an international business trip to secure a major deal, a sex scandal between employees is unearthed on the news. As the pressure to complete the deal mounts, more damaging secrets come to the surface, endangering the CEO’s company, family, and legacy. In this searing look at upper-class privilege, Post-Democracy asks, what does it take to confront corruption?

Justine – Chief Financial Officer, Asian, thirties/forties, Bill’s daughter

Shannon – Director of Public Relations, any ethnicity, thirties/forties, Justine’s friend

Lee – Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, white, thirties, Bill’s cousin (removed)

The role of Bill is cast.

Rehearsals will begin in early December and the production will run from January 13 – January 29, 2023. All roles are paid.
