Looking for funding for a public art or placemaking project in Indiana?  The state has you covered! Check out these four programs:

Indiana Arts Commission’s Arts Project Support Grant

  • Up to $5,000 (no match required) for public art projects
  • Relevant examples: art projects, murals, placemaking activation, planning, and development of public art projects
  • Application Opens: January 4th, 2023
  • Deadline: March 9th at 11:59 PM ET

Indiana Destination Development Corporation’s Placemaking Activation Grant

  • Up to $25,000 (requires 1:1 match) to fund signage and placemaking efforts
  • Relevant project examples: gateways, placemaking space, overpasses, etc.
  • Application Opens: January 4th, 2023
  • Deadline: March 17th at 4 PM ET

Indiana Destination Development Corporation’s Public Art Activation Grant

  • Up to $10,000 (no match required) to fund public art projects (primarily murals)
  • Relevant project examples: bridges, exterior walls, etc.
  • Application Opens: January 4th, 2023
  • Deadline: March 17th at 4 PM ET

Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s CreatINg Places Matching Fund

  • Grants from $10,000 up to $50,000 (1:1 match required)
  • Match must be “local crowdgranting” support via Patronicity
  • Relevant project examples: streetscape beautification, placemaking, walkability projects, etc.
  • Deadline: Ongoing until funding runs out (still has funding available as of 1/4/23)
