Monty Python’s Spamalot

WHO: Footlite is an all volunteer community theater. They seek a diverse cast.

WHEN: Sunday, August 28 and Monday, August 29 beginning at 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Auditions will take place at the Footlite Annex 1835 N. New Jersey Street across the parking lot from the theater.

Please prepare a verse of a song that best shows your vocal range, and bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist is provided. Also dress very comfortably and be prepared for dance.

Production dates are November 25, 26, 27 and December 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 2016  No conflicts accepted after November 18.
ABOUT THE SHOW:   Monty Python’s Spamalot is not your average story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. It is full of everything you would expect from Monty Python including singing, dancing, bad jokes that are maybe a little off color and a bevy of beautiful showgirls. Spamalot mashes up Camelot with Vegas, madrigals with power ballads, and killer rabbits with a ‘softer’ Sir Lancelot.  This show shamelessly skewers musicals in general with choice jabs toFiddler on the Roof, Funny Girl, Phantom of the Opera and Guys and Dolls.
