FOOTLITE MUSICALS announces open auditions for Anything Goes, a main stage production for the 2016-2017 season. The staff is seeking an ethnically diverse cast of actors. Open auditions for this production are Sunday, December 4th at 6:00pm, and Monday, December 5th at 7:00pm. Callbacks will take place on Tuesday, December 6th at 7:00pm. If you have a conflict with the audition time, please contact the producer or director ASAP to arrange an audition. Auditioners are strongly encouraged to utilize the online audition form at https://footlitemusicals.wildapricot.org/…. If you choose not to register online, then please arrive early to complete your audition form prior to the start of the evening, and bring a complete list of all potential calendar conflicts.

A free dance audition workshop will be offered on Saturday, November 19th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and Sunday, November 20th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. The workshop will be held in the Footlite annex.

Rehearsals will begin in early January and will be in the evening during the week, with some rehearsals on Saturdays and Sundays. No rehearsals on Fridays. Production dates are March 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, and 19 of 2017. There is no participation fee to be involved. To learn more about Footlite, visit www.footlite.org. About Anything Goes

The age-old tale of Boy-Meets-Girl and the complications which ensue intrigue every audience, and no musical puts it on stage better than Anything Goes. This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s magical scores. Set aboard the ocean liner S.S. American, nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney is en route from New York to England. Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt. The problem? Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime, Bonnie. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart. It’s a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard the magical ship where Anything Goes!

* The staff has chosen to produce the 1962 Off-Broadway version.
