ABOUT MOTOWN: It began as one man’s story… became everyone’s music… and is now Broadway’s musical. Motown The Musical is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more. Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives and made us all move to the same beat. Now, experience it live on stage in the record-breaking smash hit Motown The Musical!

SPECIAL CONTEST OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL ARTISTS:

Local artists are invited to participate in a contest to create a signature poster design for this event! Three winners will be chosen, including a Grand Prize winner. The winning poster designs will be printed and featured in the lobby during the show’s run March 28-April 2.

The winning artists will receive two tickets to the opening night (March 28) performance, and the Grand Prize winner will also receive a prize of $250. Artist will retain all rights and ownership in the work. Broadway in Indianapolis only seeks a limited use rights agreement for the purposes of promoting this show.

Details:

  • Hand-drawn, digitally designed, or painted poster submissions must include Show Name (Motown The Musical) Venue Name (Murat Theatre at Old National Centre), and show dates (March 28 – April 2, 2017).
  • Submit a JPEG image of the poster to admin@bohlsengroup.com
  • Deadline: Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 5 p.m. ET.
  • Note: The judging party will reserve the right not to consider content submissions of a strong sexual, political, or offensive nature.
