The Joyce Foundation will be in Indianapolis convening a gathering of artists interested in talking about Art and Civic Strategy, on Thursday, March 9, from 3-5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Big Car and will be held at the Tube Factory Artspace, 1125 Cruft Street in the Garfield Park neighborhood.

An information session for artists and organizations seeking additional insight into applying for Joyce Awards (3:00) will be followed by a larger conversation between artists and civic leaders (4:00). This event is open to all and will reflect on the urgency of art as a necessary end inĀ itself and as an essential element of civic strategy in these times.
