YAT AT THE IMA!

Ages 11-15
Join Young Actors Theatre to create a play at the IMA. YAT directors will help campers create and perform a site-specific performance on the grounds of the IMA! We don’t need a stage when we have the whole museum to play with! Campers act, create props, costumes, marketing materials, and more! Our audience can experience the IMA in a new way for our final performance during camper exhibitions.

ACTING BOOTCAMP

Ever wanted to learn different acting techniques? Study a scene in depth? Perfect a monologue that you love? Try acting for the first time ever? Join YAT as we present our first ever Acting Bootcamp for teens! Dive deep into scene work, learn about some of the greats who made acting what it is today, figure out how to connect emotion to what you are saying, and gain new confidence onstage.

SUPERME CAMP
Weekly June 12th – July 28th

Join Young Actors Theatre for an empowering, uplifting theatre day camp. SuperMe campers will engage in a variety of theatre activities including improvisation, movement for theatre, self-empowerment warm-ups, mannequin challenges, scene studies, production designing, devising original work, character development, and way more. SuperMe Camp is designed to empower the individual through theatre – it will be a super fun, super engaging, and a super unique week of theatre. All campers should bring a sack lunch and drink.

SANDBOX SUMMER CAMP

Join YAT in creating a new version of a classic fairytale. Campers will participate in energizing acting games to help build and rehearse an original story – in their own words! Daily warm-ups, uplifting acting games, making costume pieces, and more. Each week will end in a 10 minute showcase for families. All campers should bring a healthy snack and water.
