Art & Soul celebrates empowerment through the arts and recognizes over 100 local African American artists. In February 2019, the Arts Council of Indianapolis will host the 23rd annual Art & Soul celebration at the Indianapolis Artsgarden. Each year, four artists are chosen to be Featured Artists throughout the month.

This Saturday, January 27th, the Arts Council kicks off the 2018 Art & Soul celebration of African American Art and Artists in Indiana. The featured artists this year are storyteller Ryan L. Bennett, dancer Lauren Curry, spoken-word poet TOO Black, and visual artist Gary Gee.
