IndyProv is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality comedy shows, education and corporate training in Indianapolis and surrounding counties.

IndyProv is seeking a Treasurer to join the Board. This is an excellent opportunity for an Arts minded individual to contribute to a growing creative Indianapolis based non-profit organization. The Treasurer is largely influential in proper financial management and greatly affects the public’s perception, trust, and assurance in IndyProv. Therefore, the ideal candidate qualifications must include financial literacy, attention to detail, timeliness in completing tasks, neat and accurate record keeping, and a willingness to ask questions.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with experience with QuickBooks. The initial term is just one year at the end of which it may be extended to a full three-year term. We estimate it will require 1.5 to 2 hours a week time commitment. This is a non-paid position.

The Treasurer is assigned the primary responsibility of overseeing the management and reporting of IndyProv’s finances. The Treasurer’s duties include:

• Bank account maintenance – Signing checks, and investing excess funds wisely
• Financial transaction oversight – Being knowledgeable about who has access to the organization’s funds, and any outstanding bills or debts owed, as well as developing systems for keeping cash flow manageable
• Budgets – Developing the annual budget as well as comparing the actual revenues and expenses incurred against the budget
• Financial Policies – Overseeing the development and observation of the organization’s financial policies
• Reports – Keeping the board regularly informed of key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health in addition to completing required financial reporting forms in a timely fashion and making these forms available to the board
