Heckle Her (playwright Adrienne Dawes) will be sharing the very first pages of her play-in-progress “Untitled Adoption Play” as part of her residency with PlySpace (Muncie, IN). “Untitled Adoption Play” is a dark comedy that explores a failed adoption and the evils of very well-intentioned people.

Adrienne will direct a short workshop process that includes 2-3 rehearsals and one public reading open to the Muncie community.

She is seeking 4 actors to play:

• HAROLD “HAIRY” SPEYER (20s-early 30s/m White)

• SHERRI SPEYER (20s-early30s/f AfroLatina or African American) – special education teacher, married to Hairy

• RYSHI SPEYER (20s-30s/m AfroLatino or African American) – adopted son of Hairy and Sharon (character is 12 yrs old portrayed by adult actor)

• VERA (30s-40s/f Latina or AfroLatina) – case manager
