The Indiana Playwrights Circle (a subsidiary of the Indiana Writers Center) needs someone to help identify and staff actors for their Open Scene Nights.

Every Wednesday night, playwrights come to IPC’s Open Scene Nights at the Broadway United Methodist Church (near 29th and Central) with pages in hand, looking for actors to read them.

Responsibilities: Their actor wrangler will manage our database of actors, invite actors to come read each week, keep track of responses, and communicate with our facilitator for each week.

If you are an organized person with networking skills and an interest in theater, this opportunity could be lots of fun for you.   (No pay, but great experience! All IPC staff are volunteers.)

They are looking for a three-month commitment with a possible extension if it works out. If you are a playwright, a director, or an actor yourself, it would give you the chance to meet and get to know many talented people, in addition to supporting the development of new plays.

They provide a database of actors to start with and a simple system already in place for you to follow.  If you are interested, reach out to ipcinfo@indianawriters.org.
