Executive Director, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra

Have you been waiting for your opportunity to join the leadership team of one of Indianapolis’ premier professional music ensembles? Marking its 35th season, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (ICO) advances and promotes music composed for the small orchestra through professional concert performances and educational programs. The Executive Director (ED) position will be opening due to a mid-year 2020 retirement of a successful long-term leader. The ICO provides seven subscription concerts per season of classical and contemporary works. The Executive Director will work in partnership with Matthew Kraemer, who leads the Orchestra in his 5th season as Music Director.

• As a champion for new music, the ICO serves as Orchestra-in-Residence for the Indiana State University Contemporary Music Festival.
• The ICO’s radio broadcast airs each Monday evening on WFYI 90.1 FM.

ICO is governed by a 20-member Board of Directors. The ICOs annual budget is about $900K with an endowment of over $2 million. The ICO has 6 full-time and part-time employees reporting to the Executive Director. The Executive Director guides and supervises the ICO staff.
