NOTE: This process requires applicants to submit color sketches for the mural they wish to create as a part of their application. Applicants are not compensated for this up-front design work.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Five artists or artist groups are sought to create murals that will be painted on five sections of multiple plywood panels that will be installed by the project organizers. There will be three 52ft x 8ft panels, one 40ft x 8ft panel, and one 32ft x 8ft panel. Artists selected to develop a mural will then need to refine their sketches and present final designs at a public meeting on April 16, 2020. Further design adjustments may be necessary based on community input. All submitting artists must be able to create the mural on-site, during the month of May, for a final completion date of May 21, 2020, with some flexibility.
