Call for Entries with the theme of “Animals.”

All interpretations of the word are acceptable.

Deadline: Saturday, March 28, 2020, 10 – 2 p.m.

This exhibition is open to everyone. Artists are welcome to submit 1 or 2 entries. All artists will be represented that meet the following criteria, with one or both artworks, as gallery space permits.

• All work must be the artists’ original concept and design.
• Open to any type of visual arts media both 2D and 3D.
• All work must arrive ready to install, including hanging wire. Works not gallery ready may be omitted from the exhibition.
• Dillsboro Arts reserves the right to reject any artwork that is inappropriate for their audience.
• This exhibition will be judged by an outside art professional. Cash prizes will be awarded.
  • One ‘Best of Show’ and three ‘Art of Distinction’ awards.
• A non-refundable entry fee of $30 must be submitted, cash or check. Checks can be made payable to Dillsboro Arts-Friendship Gallery.
• Dillsboro Arts retains a 25% commission on sales during the exhibition. Artworks need not be for sale.
• When delivered, each piece must have a label on the back (top left corner) with Artist’s Name, Title, Media, Date, and Price or NFS.
• All work will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
• The artist is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of their artwork. All work must be hand-delivered and picked-up by posted times or with special arrangements.
• Although all possible care will be given to handling and exhibiting the artwork, Dillsboro Arts will assume no financial responsibility for loss or damage to artworks.
• By submitting an entry, you agree with the conditions of the entry and exhibition as stated.

Important Dates:

Entry deadline: Saturday, March 28, 2020, 10 – 2 p.m.

Deliver art: Thursday, March 26, 4 – 6 p.m. or Saturday, March 28, 2020, 10 – 2 p.m.

Exhibition: April 4 – May 30, 2020

Reception: Friday, April 10, 6 – 8 p.m.

Pick-up art: Saturday, May 30, 1 – 3 p.m. or by prior arrangement
