2020 Open Lens Photography Exhibit And Competition

You are invited to participate in the 2020 Open Lens Photography Exhibit and Competition sponsored by the Hamilton County Artists’ Association. This exhibit and competition is open to all amateur and professional photographers and will be a judged and juried event. Please read all the following entry information carefully.

General Information

The Open Lens Competition and Exhibit is a judged event and open to all photographers in the Hamilton County and all surrounding regions.

Entry categories will be Monochrome and Color.

An image is considered to be Monochrome only if it gives the impression of having no color (i.e. contains only shades of gray which can include pure black and pure white) OR it gives the impression of being a greyscale image that has been toned in one color across the entire image. (For example, by Sepia, gold, etc.)  A greyscale or multi-colored image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multi-toning or by the inclusion of spot coloring does not meet the definition of monochrome and will be classified as a Color Work.

Entries in Monochrome and Color can be edited to improve the quality of the image and can include HDR images, but not stitched panorama images. Images may be altered by the maker. Adjustments to enhance images or creatively modify images are allowed providing the underlying photograph is retained in a way that is obvious to the viewer.  Images may not be constructed entirely with a computer, and must be the sole work of the author.

Time Line:

Entries will be submitted ONLINE September 8-30.

**ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 30TH**
