St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Carmel announces a Call for Entries for a juried exhibition titled PSALMS REVISITED.
Following the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and so many others, St. Christophers believes it is especially important for the community to learn from artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC). BIPOC artists are invited to submit work that interprets a biblical Psalm through the lens of each artist’s life experiences.
Eligibility: Artists of all backgrounds who are at least 18 years of age and who live in the State of Indiana are encouraged to submit artwork for consideration.
Entry fee: There is no entry fee for this exhibition.
Specifications: Artists may submit one or two entries for consideration in two categories:
Exhibition Setting: All artwork must be exhibition-ready. Artwork selected for inclusion will be installed in the congregation’s Parish Hall and adjacent grounds. St. Christopher’s is committed to handling the artwork with the care it deserves; however, artists will exhibit their work at their own risk.
