How Does Your Garden Grow? Collaborative Art Project

Program description

First, the artist will give a short presentation on design and color. Students will then work together to create a piece of collaborative art that will be displayed at the school. The artist will provide wood tiles containing pre-drawn designs. Students will be asked to paint onto the tiles using various colors. As the students finish painting the tiles, they will be placed onto a panel. The artist will take the tiles back to their studio, where they will be permanently affixed onto a wood panel and returned to the class for display.

This program is made possible through the Arts Council’s Art & Soul program. You can read more about this program here.
