A Light in the Window - Odes to Winter

Presented by Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective and The Indianapolis Opera at Basile Opera Center

Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective & the Indianapolis Opera present, A Light in the Window – Odes to Winter. Please join us for an evening of one-night-only performances by local artists celebrating winter. Within the windows of the Basile Opera Center, each artist will create their own poetic interpretation of winter, incorporating voice, movement, dance and/or theater. You are invited to take a walk around the outside of the building and watch as each of these unique winter worlds come to life. Participating artists and arts organizations include: the Indianapolis Opera, NoExit PerformanceJustin Sears-Watson, Usha Sirimalle of Indy Bollywood, Mary Jo DeMyer, Luther DeMyer, Hadar Tann, and Lani Weissbach. This project is made possible with the support of the Arts Council of Indianapolis.

Admission Info

30 tickets available per performance. Performances start at 5:45pm, 7:00pm, and 8:15pm. Performance will last approximately 45 minutes. One drink is included with a purchase of each ticket – options include coffee, hot chocolate, or cider. Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you get your drink prior to the performance. Please arrive on time so not to miss any of the performances. Purchased tickets prior to the event are required. No walk-ups are allowed. For the safety of our artists and guests and under the restrictions of Marion County Public Health Department and the City of Indianapolis, masks are required where social distancing is not possible.
