The first in our series of events about the Mississippi River, it’s history, art, people and how it’s been affected by climate change.
The Northern Mississippi will be our focus as we begin a three part series of events along the Mississippi River. We start upstream with a look at Indigenous Peoples who first settled by the river in the St. Paul area, connections in the same area to the Underground Railroad, and what sustainability measures are being put into place to preserve the river and the environment near it and how that is affected by industrialization and urbanization.
This is an online event through Zoom. The day of the event, you will receive an email from Eventbrite with the Zoom link and instructions for accessing the event.
This panel discussion features Rev. Jim Bear Jacobs, Brenda Child, Meredith Cummings and Drew DeSimone.
