Whimsical, yet realistic at the same time, these cartoon taxidermy sculptures made of paper clay bring a smile to anyone who sees them—exactly as mixed-media artist Wendy Simon intends, as she sprinkles a little cartoon into each one.

Meet Wendy, an Indiana Artisan from Frankfort, Ind., as she demonstrates her sculpting techniques and brings a new cartoon creature to life during the April 10 Gallery Walk in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Her work will bring a smile to your face from 5 to 9 p.m. at Indiana Artisan Gifts & Gallery, 22 N. Rangeline Road.
