May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at 7:00pm, Summit presents a live, outdoor, staged reading of WHERE WE STAND by Donnetta Lavinia Grays, featuring Manon Voice.
Bring masks and chairs and join Summit Performance Indianapolis for a live, outdoor staged reading of “Where We Stand” by Donnetta Lavinia Grays at the beautiful Allen Whitehill Clowes Amphitheater at Marian University, May 21-23 at 7pm. The reading features local spoken word poet and performer Manon Voice and is directed by Dwandra Nickole Lampkin.
“Where We Stand is a long-form poem with humor, heart, and music that tells the story of a woman standing before her town asking them for forgiveness after she has made a deal with a mysterious stranger on their behalf. More than a recounting of events, this piece both engages and implicates the audience in determining the woman’s fate.”
Tickets are $10 for general admission, with a “supporter” ticket option for $20.
All tickets must be purchased online ahead of the event.
