Indy Arts Fest is an annual festival with the goal to highlight the best of Indy’s art talent.
On Labor Day of this year, Hue Murals, a mural business started by local artist Koda Witsken, and the local car dealership Indy Auto Man (www.indyautoman.com) will host the inaugural Indy Arts Fest. The festival will take place at Indy Auto Man’s new service building at 3130 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, on Monday, September 6, 2021, from 11 AM to 7 PM. It will center around the creation of six 8 ft x 12 ft murals, painted live at the event by six local artists: Dan “Handskillz” Thompson, Julie Davis Veach, Israel Solomon, Alexandria Hall, Becky Hochhalter, Lisa Sears & Hannah Johnson.
The festival will also highlight other local performing and visual artists, including live music, a special FX body painter, and a chalk artist. Graffiti artists will practice their art on junk cars and car parts throughout the event. There will also be a selection of local small arts businesses and food and beverage vendors.
General admission tickets will be $10. VIP tickets will cost $100 and include prime parking with mural backdrop, exclusive Party-Pod access, and exclusive tasting experiences. Tickets can be purchased on the Indy Arts Fest website at www.indyartsfest.com. Tickets must be purchased online but can be purchased up to the day of the event, as long as tickets are available.
