Juneteenth Community Celebration at the Eiteljorg Museum

Juneteenth Community Celebration at the Eiteljorg Museum

at Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art

Enjoy a day of FREE admission to the Eiteljorg Museum. Attend live music performances, a poetry reading, and more. Reservations strongly encouraged.
In honor of the 150th anniversary, the Eiteljorg hosted its first Juneteenth celebration in 2015 with community partners, performances, food, art and free museum admission. That event was so popular, we decided to make to it an annual tradition at the museum, extending free museum admission to all on the first Saturday in June. Though the current pandemic put a damper on the some experiences offered in the past, it has afforded us space and time to grow the festival online. In 2021, we look forward to offering both an online and a scaled down in-person event, to keep our visitors safe. We hope you’ll join us in the way that makes you feel most comfortable.
