New date, new location, same fun festival! The Earth Day Indiana Festival has moved to June 5, World Environment Day and to Garfield Park in Indianapolis. Join us to celebrate with 64 exhibitors, live music (youth & adult stages), 6 food trucks, a beer garden & a 5K run/walk. Youth activities include virtual bike races, a hands-on science learning lab with STEMScouts, pilot training with LIFT Academy, exotic animals with Silly Safari, the MCPL Bookmobile & more! All ages can also enjoy performances with Take Flight Birds of Prey, Drums of Ivory Coast drum & dance workshops, Helping Ninjas Composting Workshop, tour the Cool Bus mobile grocery for food deserts, and explore electric and hybrid cars. This family-friendly event is free, outdoors and socially distanced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be a Family Care Tent for special needs families to decompress, rocking chairs for nursing mothers and a baby changing station.
