Join us for an outdoor, socially distanced concert featured Indy-based ensemble, Forward Motion. The Indianapolis Propylaeum and Classical Music Indy have partnered for the world premiere of four new micro composition works, played by Forward Motion, and featuring introductions by several of the composers themselves. Forward Motion is Indianapolis’ premiere new classical music chamber ensemble. The group specializes in performing works by living composers, and puts a focus on commissioning, premiering, and recording works by Indiana composers. Forward Motion combines classical instruments with modern sounds and has a knack for mesmerizing on-the-spot improvisations.

About the Series:
The Indianapolis Propylaeum is proud to present the 2021 Porch Concert Series. This series will feature four ensembles performing on the beautiful Propylaeum porch in Summer 2021. From June to September, the outdoor concerts allow guests to socially distance on the Propylaeum’s expansive lawn while enjoying various styles of music. While 2020 left a hole in the hearts of Indy music-lovers, this live performance series will help to bridge the gap between online-only events to fully staged indoor productions. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at each event, and a full schedule of concerts is pictured below. The concert is free and open to the public.
