Herron School of Art and Design's Biennial Faculty Exhibition

Presented by Herron Galleries at Herron School of Art and Design

The Biennial Faculty Exhibition, a four-decade tradition, showcases the outstanding work of Herron’s nationally and internationally recognized art and design faculty. From June 22 to Sept. 1, the exhibition will be on display in all galleries of Eskenazi Hall.

Participating Herron faculty members are Anila Quayyum Agha, Karen Baldner, Sydney Craig, Doug Daniel, Andrew Perry Davis, Stephanie Doty, Ray Duffey, Matthew Eickhoff, Reagan Furqueron, Aaron Ganci, Anita Giddings, Robert Horvath, Greg Hull, Lowell Isaac, Sarah Jones, Mary McClung, Gurkan Maruf Mihci, Jeanne Nemeth, Matt Panfil, Melissa Parrott Quimby, Stefan Petranek, William Potter, Danielle Riede, Cory Robinson, Joani Rothenberg, Meredith Setser, Jared Cru Smith, Jake Sneath, Shelley Spicuzza, Carolyn Springer, Sherry Stone, Uranchimeg Tsultem, Claire White, Andrew Todd Winship, and Luba Halicki Winship.

A closing reception will be held in Eskenazi Hall from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Admission Info

Herron’s exhibitions in Eskenazi Hall, 735 W. New York St., are free of charge and open to the public. Summer hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

A closing reception will be held in Eskenazi Hall from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1.In late August, a series of artist’s gallery talks and demonstrations will take place as part of the exhibition. These events will be held in person and are free and open to the public.Greg Hull, 12-1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 25, Marsh Gallery, Eskenazi Hall.Hull will demonstrate a new image-generating technology that he and his collaborators, art therapist Juliet King and neurologist Dr. Robert Pascuzzi, developed as part of a clinical study to improve the quality of life of patients and families affected by A.L.S., also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control.Stefan Petranek, 12-1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, Berkshire, Reese and Paul Galleries, Eskenazi Hall. In this noon-time gallery talk, Petranek will discuss a new work that is a continuation of his investigation into the impact of global warming, visualizing the far-reaching consequences of this often-invisible crisis confronting our planet.Lowell Isaac, 12-1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 30, Berkshire, Reese, and Paul Galleries, Eskenazi Hall. Isaac will discuss his recent hand-drawn animation, “Onion Detective” (2021), which highlights his incredible range as an animator and his inherent sense of humor informed by the medium’s history.
