Breaking the Surface

Breaking the Surface

at Indiana Repertory Theatre - OneAmerica Stage

Sponsored by C.H. Douglas & Gray Wealth Management, this upbeat show includes a piece called Sneaky Pete by Chicago choreographer Brock Clawson. He describes this piece as an entertaining, cool game of Cat and Mouse.

The next piece, Chairman Dances, is a grand, dramatic piece choreographed by DK artistic director David Hochoy. Using music composed by John Adams for Nixon in ChinaChairman Dances has a similar driving rhythm and excitement as David’s most popular piece, iconoGlass.

The final piece in the program is Feeling Good. With a smooth baritone voice, singer Michael Bublé knows how to balance light, joyful moments with the earnest sincerity of his love-filled music, whether he’s singing a ballad or a more upbeat pop song. Creating new dances to Bublé’s music is a natural!

This entertaining new piece is choreographed by artistic director David Hochoy and associate artistic director Stuart Coleman. Songs include “Save the Last Dance for Me,” “Mack the Knife,” and “Feeling Good.”

To broaden your experience at the beautiful Indiana Repertory Theatre, we have invited the non-profit Trinity Haven to have an information table in the lobby. Stop by to learn more about the valuable work they do providing safe, affirming housing for LGBTQ youth experiencing housing instability.
