Fifteen short plays selected from around the country that reflect on the theme American Identity.
American Lives Theatre brings this four-day festival to the District Theatre which features 20 local actors, three Indiana directors and the works of 14 playwrights from around the country. The fifteen plays were selected from over 200 submissions and highlight some of the freshest voices in theater across America. This is a rare opportunity to see new plays festival-style in your own city and very inexpensively.
There are three programs, each consisting of five plays, running in repertory all weekend long at the District Theatre. Each program is only $15 and lasts about 85 minutes. A wide variety of plays, including comedies, dramas and historical pieces are being presented. The OutBack patio will also be available so you can have a drink after a show and then pop back in for another round.
All tickets are $15 and available online or in person. Masks are required. All performers have been fully vaccinated. General seating.
