First Friday Gallery Opening at the Harrison Center

Presented by Harrison Center at Harrison Center for the Arts

-“Chœurs Insulaires” by Kyle Ragsdale in the Harrison Gallery and Annex evokes visions of mystery and tranquility. Painting in a thick abstract style, Ragsdale calls to mind peaceful enigmatic island scenes, where marks and drips detail impressions of distant eerie choruses and healing presences.
-“Comfort Zone” by Willard Johnson in the City Gallery. This work is a reflection of Indiana Native Plant Species in layered mixed media pieces.
-“The Forgiving Sea Project” by Carolyn Springer in the Speck Gallery. This series features various mediums of pastel and encaustic centered around the manifestation of forgiveness.
-“Feelings in Bloom ” by Alana Williams in the Hank & Dolly’s Gallery. This collection of ceramic sculptures brings forth feelings of softness and wariness through its depictions of blooming flowers blended with physical representations of emotions.
-A group show featuring work by Indiana Plein Air Painters Association in the Underground Gallery. The paintings in this exhibit feature Indiana landscapes painted outdoors with the artist’s subject in full view.
