First Friday Gallery Opening at the Harrison Center

-“Hi Ho Silver!”, annual group color-themed show in the Harrison Gallery and Annex. This show will feature sculptures, paintings, and more in ranges of silver from deep grey to flashy metallics by dozens of local artists.
-IndieAna Handicraft Exchange in the gym. Buy holiday gifts, including prints, jewelry, ceramics, and more.
-“Memory Ghosts” by Nathaniel Russell in the Speck Gallery. This series features paintings, drawings, wood cut-outs, and sculptural works that weave in and around memory, connection, and isolation themes.
-“Intersections” by Boxx the Artist in the Hank & Dolly’s Gallery. This blend of digital and acrylic painted art is a contemporary review of intersectionality among race, class, and gender through the Black Experience.
-“Indiana Plein Air Painters Association,” a group show of paintings by members of the association in the Underground Gallery. The paintings in this exhibit feature Indiana landscapes painted outdoors with the artist’s subject in full view.
-New Work by Mailinh Ho and Pim in the City Gallery. These Herron School of Art + Design graduates merge their painting techniques of stylized realism with heavy influences from their endemic cultures.

Guests can also participate in these events: 
-The annual “Holiday Window Walk” will be up for some safe, outdoor family fun. Local artists create three-dimensional displays in our street-level basement windows. Viewers can enjoy these displays that are open for viewing 24/7 around the perimeter of our building.
-The Association of Black Cowboys and their horses will be entertaining in the Courtyard.
-The LIT holiday light installation by Owens & Crawley will be on display in the Courtyard after sunset.

All shows will open at 6 pm Friday, December 3. 

In-person gallery tours will open for visitors Monday-Friday from 9 am – 5 pm. Online galleries will open on December 6th. Make an appointment or view the online galleries at harrisoncenter.org/buy-art.

Special Senior Hours are every Friday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. No appointment is needed.

About the Harrison Center
