"Admissions" by Joshua Harmon

Presented by American Lives Theatre and IndyFringe at IndyFringe Basile Theater

About the Play:

Sherrie Rosen-Mason is head of the admissions department at a New England prep school, fighting to diversify the student body. Alongside her husband, the school’s headmaster, they have largely succeeded in bringing a stodgy institution into the twenty-first century. But when their only son sets his sights on an Ivy League university, personal ambition collides with their progressive values, producing convulsive results. Witty and incredibly present, Admissions is a no holds barred look at privilege, power, and the perils of hypocrisy.

About American Lives Theatre:

American Lives Theatre brings relevant and provocative work to Indianapolis that reflects on American life right now. Established in 2019, the company performed its inaugural production ‘Gloria’ by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins at the Fringe Basile Theatre. Recently, ALT produced its second Short Play Festival featuring 15 of the best short plays selected from around the country. And are currently producing ‘Small Mouth Sounds’ by Bess Wohl at the District Theatre. American Lives Theatre is thrilled to be back at IndyFringe with the Indianapolis premiere of ‘Admissions.’
