Breaking glass isn’t something we like hearing — except when mosaic master Nancy Keating is in the house. Meet the fascinating artist and watch as she turns slivers, slices and scraps of tempered glass – sometimes called crash glass — into fun, colorful mosaic art seascapes at Indiana Artisan Gifts & Gallery during the Jan. 8 Meet Me On Main gallery walk.

A mosaic artist for more than 15 years, Nancy began working in mixed media mosaic with a focus on garden art, using mainly ceramic and found objects. Indiana has a long history in glass, and over time Nancy’s “mosaic direction” shifted to include original fine art glass mosaic.

“I’m so fortunate that my ‘work’ is fun! I still love to repurpose and recycle, creating original mosaic art with discarded vintage objects,” says the Carmel-based artist and teacher.
