First Friday Gallery Opening at the Harrison Center

-“YOU + ME” by H Ward Miles in the Harrison Gallery. This series of abstract paintings is characterized by bright, beautiful colors, organic shapes and patterns, and a joyful aura.

-“That Feeling When” by Ess McKee in the City Gallery. This collection of vibrant acrylic and aerosol portraits is inspired by the many moods and personalities of Indianapolis.

-“Scattered Focus | Random Memories” by Britt Ritchie in the Gallery Annex. The acrylic paintings in this body of work effortlessly combine florals and geometric patterns in a soft color palette.

-“64 North from Here”, a group exhibit curated by Yeabsera Tabb in the Speck Gallery. Located just 64 miles north of the Harrison Center is a town rich with stories told by artists who call Marion home. This collection of visual stories told through paintings, collages, maps, and three-dimensional works will spark your curiosity about this small Indiana town.

-“Bicycles”, a group exhibition in the Underground Gallery. Get excited about biking while viewing works by numerous local artists celebrating Indianapolis’ vibrant biking community.

All shows will open at 6 pm Friday, June 3rd.

In-person gallery tours will open for visitors Monday-Friday from 9 am – 5 pm. Online galleries will open on June 4th. Make an appointment or view the online galleries at harrisoncenter.org/buy-art.

Special Senior Hours are every Friday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. No appointment is needed.

About the Harrison Center

The Harrison Center is a community-based, nonprofit arts organization that seeks to be a catalyst for renewal in the city of Indianapolis. Founded in 2001, the organization’s work is two-fold.
