The finalists will perform different genres of music with a live band for our jury of world-renowned drummers. This one-of-a-kind concert

The live band will be led by Indianapolis’ own Rob Dixon, Artistic Director of Indy Jazz Fest (saxophone), and feature Charlie Ballantine (guitar), Steven Jones (keyboards), and Brandon Meeks (bass).

Judges for the competition include Matt Greiner – drummer for August Burns Red, Aaron Spears – drummer for Ariana Grande, and Dave Weckl – legendary jazz fusion drummer.

All attendees will check in at Will Call upon arrival. No printed tickets are required.

The Percussive Arts Society Solo Artist Competition is the only one of its kind in the U.S., happening every year, with the instrument category alternating between Drum Set and Solo Percussion. The 2022 PAS Solo Artist Competition category is Drum Set. The Percussive Arts Society is the world’s largest percussion organization and is considered the central source for information and networking for percussionists and drummers of all ages.
