About the Play
Without proper support, nearly one in three people will return to prison within three years of their release. ‘This Wide Night’ by Chloë Moss was originally commissioned by Clean Break, a UK organization founded by two women in prison who believe in the power of theatre to transform lives. A gutsy story of female friendship and winner of the Susan Smith Blackburn prize, ‘This Wide Night’ holds and humanizes two formerly incarcerated women in an isolated studio that may or may not be equipped for real freedom.
A moderated talkback will follow the reading.
