“If I Stay Before I Leave” will feature over 20 images in all formats, each scanned from the original negatives and printed digitally.
Torry Brown is a photographer and image-maker whose primary focus has been exploring the complicated relationship between feeling a part of and apart from a landscape. His work is centered on emotion and perception, with images conveying the feelings of an experience and emphasizing the pliability of memory that inevitably follows those fleeting moments.
Brown graduated from Herron School of Art and Design in 2022 and will attend Yale University this fall to begin a Master of Fine Arts in photography at the Yale School of Art.
If I Stay Before I Leave – Images by Torry Brown will be on view in the Herron Galleries from June 15 through Aug. 431, 2022.
Herron’s exhibitions are free and open to the public at Eskenazi Hall, 735 W. New York St. Virtual tours of the exhibitions will be made available online.
