Want to take an MFA-level poetry workshop at a fraction of the cost? In this workshop, we will be writing fresh poems as well as breathing life into old or neglected poems. We will be presented with prompts that will stimulate new ideas and challenge us to think in new ways, go into previously unexplored areas, and inspire each other in the ways of poetry. We will discuss how to make poetry a fundamental aspect of our lives so that reading and writing can be a more sustained and fulfilling pursuit. We will also examine great poems to learn what makes them great with the aim of making our own poems great. We will write great poems.
