In this unique class we will create meaningful paintings inspired by our personal folklore and religious backgrounds. Together we will examine sacred art pieces from a variety of cultures then create individual altar pieces that reflect what we hold most dear. In this experimental class we will explore hand-made stencil and mixed media acrylic painting techniques. Advanced and beginning students welcome. Any religious beliefs are welcome in our inclusive and supportive group.

Materials: All materials will be provided.

This is a 4 week class meeting every Saturday from 1-4pm starting October 22nd 2022

Instructor: This class is taught by the artist Vita a.k.a. Addie Hirschten a contemporary impressionist painter, host of the Studio Alchemy Podcast and owner of the Studio Alchemy Gallery. Hirschten has been a professional artist and painting instructor for over 10 years, has a BFA, MLS, and is the author of several books including the Alchemy of Painting.
