Italian ensemble Europa Galante performs a baroque and classical repertoire at the Palladium.
Europa Galante was formed in 1989 by Artistic Director Fabio Biondi to create an Italian instrumental ensemble for interpretations of the great baroque and classical repertoire on period instruments. Europa Galante achieved early success with its first recording of the concertos of Antonio Vivaldi. With a growing list of awards including three Grammy nominations, the ensemble is widely known for performances in the world’s most prestigious halls, including Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Royal Albert Hall in London, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Sydney Opera House, and Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York. This program features works of Vivaldi and Bach.
