Carmel Symphony Orchestra Plays Pines of Rome

Carmel Symphony Orchestra Plays Pines of Rome

at Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts

Experience the Exceptional as Carmel Symphony Orchestra under Artistic Director Janna Hymes welcomes acclaimed violinist Alexi Kenney to the Palladium stage. The young California-born musician appears with major orchestras throughout the US as well as abroad, and recently released his inaugural recording. The New York Times praised a Kenney performance, noting “…he made it seem…as if this were the only possible way to play the music.” Experience his genius for yourself as he joins the CSO for the Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1. Also on the program are Colas Breugnon Overture (Kabalevsky) and the glorious Pines of Rome, the tone poem for orchestra by Respighi, written as a tribute to various scenes in and around Italy’s beloved capital.
